Michael Shope is an experienced real estate attorney with a practice focused on title matters, land development, and property structuring. With more than a decade in private practice and as managing partner of Title Group of Tennessee, he provides comprehensive legal guidance on real estate transactions, subdivision of property, and the formation and governance of homeowners’ associations.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Shope served as both in-house counsel and Chief Financial Officer for a large regional real estate developer. In these roles, he gained valuable, hands-on experience navigating not only the legal complexities of development projects, but also the financial and operational considerations that drive them. He regularly advises clients on financing strategies for development, bringing a practical, business-oriented perspective to each matter.

Mr. Shope’s dual legal and financial background drives his pragmatic approach to client representation, allowing him to anticipate challenges, align legal strategy with financial objectives, and deliver efficient, results-driven solutions.

Combining legal acumen with executive-level financial experience, Mr. Shope is committed to guiding clients through complex real estate matters with clarity, precision, and a focus on long-term success.

Outside of the office, Mr. Shope enjoys time with his wife and three children, as well boating and playing golf.
